Travelism is a travel-focused social platform where people can share experiences, communicate, create trips, collaborate, and connect with personal and business profiles.
These Community Guidelines explain what is and is not permitted on Travelism. They apply to all users, profiles, posts, comments, messages, Moments, trips, business content, verification activity, and other use of Travelism.
By using Travelism, you agree to follow these Community Guidelines, the Travelism Terms of Service, and applicable laws.
1. Respect Other People
Travelism should remain a respectful and welcoming travel community.
You must not:
- Bully, intimidate, threaten, or harass another person
- Repeatedly contact someone after they ask you to stop
- Encourage others to target or harass someone
- Shame, humiliate, or degrade another person
- Use abusive, insulting, or threatening language
- Follow someone across accounts to evade a block
- Organize coordinated harassment or mass reporting
- Target someone because of a personal disagreement
Disagreement and criticism are allowed when expressed respectfully and without abuse, threats, or harassment.
2. Hate Speech and Discrimination
Travelism does not allow content or conduct that attacks, dehumanizes, threatens, excludes, or encourages discrimination against people based on characteristics such as:
- Race
- Ethnicity
- Nationality
- Religion
- Disability
- Sex
- Gender
- Gender identity
- Sexual orientation
- Age
- Caste
- Serious medical condition
- Immigration status
- Other legally protected characteristics
Content discussing discrimination for educational, documentary, news, awareness, or counterspeech purposes may be permitted when it does not promote hatred or harm.
3. Violence, Threats, and Dangerous Conduct
You must not post, send, promote, or encourage:
- Credible threats of violence
- Instructions to seriously harm another person
- Praise or support for violent attacks
- Graphic or gratuitous violent content
- Terrorist or violent extremist activity
- Human trafficking or exploitation
- Dangerous challenges likely to cause serious injury
- Content intended to intimidate someone through violence
- Offers to arrange violent or illegal activity
Travelism may remove content and contact relevant authorities where a credible or immediate danger is identified.
Limited violent content may be permitted for legitimate news, historical, documentary, educational, or awareness purposes when appropriately presented.
4. Suicide, Self-Harm, and Eating Disorders
You must not:
- Encourage suicide or self-harm
- Provide instructions intended to facilitate self-harm
- Glorify or celebrate self-injury
- Target vulnerable people with harmful encouragement
- Promote dangerous eating-disorder behaviour
- Share graphic self-harm content without legitimate context
Supportive discussion, recovery stories, awareness content, and requests for help may be permitted when they do not encourage harmful behaviour.
Travelism is not an emergency or medical service. Anyone facing an immediate danger should contact local emergency services or a qualified professional.
5. Child Safety
Travelism is intended only for people aged 18 or older.
Travelism strictly prohibits:
- Child sexual abuse or exploitation
- Sexual content involving minors
- Grooming or solicitation of minors
- Requests for sexual images involving minors
- Sharing or threatening to share abusive material
- Sexualizing children
- Trafficking or exploitation of children
- Attempts to arrange inappropriate contact with a minor
Travelism may permanently remove accounts and report suspected child exploitation to relevant authorities or specialist organizations.
Do not upload, forward, save, or redistribute suspected child sexual abuse material. Report it immediately through the available reporting tools.
6. Sexual Content and Exploitation
You must not post, send, request, or promote:
- Pornographic or explicitly sexual content
- Non-consensual intimate images
- Hidden-camera sexual content
- Sexual extortion or blackmail
- Sexual exploitation or trafficking
- Content obtained without the subject’s consent
- Threats to expose intimate content
- Content that facilitates unlawful sexual services
- Sexual content involving violence or coercion
Limited non-explicit content may be allowed where it has legitimate artistic, health, educational, documentary, or awareness value and complies with applicable law.
7. Privacy and Personal Information
Respect the privacy and safety of others.
You must not share or misuse another person’s:
- Home address
- Private phone number
- Personal email address
- Password or authentication credentials
- Government identity document
- Financial-account information
- Private medical information
- Precise live location
- Private travel itinerary
- Private messages or images
- Other sensitive personal information
Exceptions may apply when information is already lawfully public and is shared for legitimate reporting, public-interest, or safety purposes without harassment or harmful intent.
Never use personal information to threaten, deceive, stalk, expose, or harm someone.
8. Impersonation and False Identity
You must not:
- Pretend to be another person
- Create a misleading account using someone else’s identity
- Impersonate a business, authority, organization, or Travelism employee
- Use another person’s images to deceive users
- Falsely claim professional qualifications
- Falsely claim ownership of a business
- Falsely claim to be verified
- Create accounts designed to confuse people about their source
Fan, commentary, parody, or community accounts must be clearly identified and must not mislead users.
9. Verification Integrity
Personal and business verification must be used honestly.
You must not:
- Submit forged, stolen, altered, or misleading documents
- Submit another person’s identity document without authorization
- Misrepresent business ownership or authority
- Manipulate verification images or evidence
- Sell, transfer, rent, or share a verified account
- Falsely reproduce a Travelism verification badge
- Use verification to deceive or exploit users
- Publish private verification evidence belonging to another person
A verification badge does not mean Travelism endorses a person, business, product, service, or statement.
Travelism may refuse, revoke, or reassess verification when information becomes inaccurate, misleading, expired, or associated with abuse.
10. Fraud, Scams, and Deceptive Practices
Travelism does not allow fraud or deception.
Prohibited activity includes:
- Fake travel offers
- Fake accommodation or activity listings
- Advance-fee scams
- Phishing
- Identity theft
- False refund or payment requests
- Fraudulent investment or employment offers
- Fake giveaways
- False emergency requests
- Romance scams
- Misleading business claims
- Fabricated travel documents
- Requests for passwords or authentication codes
- Attempts to redirect users into suspicious transactions
- Deceptive links or websites
Be cautious when communicating or transacting with people outside Travelism. Travelism does not guarantee external offers, businesses, bookings, or transactions.
11. Spam and Artificial Engagement
You must not:
- Send repetitive or unwanted messages
- Post repetitive promotional content
- Mass-follow or mass-contact users
- Use bots or unauthorized automation
- Buy or sell followers, likes, comments, saves, or shares
- Coordinate fake engagement
- Create fake reviews or testimonials
- Manipulate search or recommendation results
- Use misleading tags or destinations
- Operate networks of deceptive accounts
- Post chain messages
- Repeatedly share irrelevant links
- Add users to chats or trips for spam
Reasonable, relevant business promotion may be permitted when it is honest, appropriately targeted, and not repetitive or intrusive.
12. Intellectual Property
Only share content that you own or have permission to use.
You must not upload or distribute:
- Copyrighted photographs without authorization
- Videos, music, artwork, writing, or designs used without permission
- Counterfeit products
- Another business’s branding in a misleading way
- Content copied from another platform without permission
- Material that violates trademarks, copyright, or other proprietary rights
Credit alone does not always give you permission to use someone else’s content.

13. Authentic Travel and Business Content
Travel-related information should be presented honestly.
You must not:
- Misrepresent destinations, accommodation, transport, or activities
- Falsely claim that a service is available
- Hide important safety information intentionally
- Use unrelated images to promote a destination or business
- Publish fabricated reviews
- Falsely claim sponsorship, partnership, or official status
- Create fake business profiles
- Misrepresent prices, licences, ownership, facilities, or availability
- Present edited or AI-generated media as authentic evidence when doing so would materially deceive users
Clearly disclose relevant commercial relationships, sponsorships, gifts, or paid promotions where required by law.
14. Illegal and Regulated Goods or Services
You must not use Travelism to unlawfully sell, promote, arrange, or distribute:
- Illegal drugs
- Weapons
- Explosives
- Stolen goods
- Counterfeit documents
- Human organs
- Endangered wildlife products
- Trafficking services
- Fraudulent financial services
- Other illegal or highly regulated goods and services
Content discussing regulated subjects for legitimate educational, journalistic, historical, safety, or awareness purposes may be allowed where it does not facilitate illegal activity.
15. Cybersecurity and Platform Abuse
You must not:
- Distribute malware
- Send phishing links
- Attempt unauthorized account access
- Collect passwords or login codes
- Exploit security vulnerabilities
- Circumvent access controls
- Scrape Travelism without authorization
- Overload or disrupt Travelism systems
- Reverse engineer Travelism except where legally permitted
- Collect user data through unauthorized methods
- Sell or distribute Travelism user data
- Bypass suspensions, restrictions, or blocks
- Interfere with reporting or moderation tools
Security concerns should be reported privately to:
Do not publicly disclose sensitive security details in a way that could endanger users.
16. Messages, Chats, and Trip Collaboration
These Guidelines apply to direct messages, group chats, trip chats, invitations, packing lists, itineraries, and collaboration features.
You must not:
- Send threats, harassment, spam, or scams
- Add people repeatedly after they decline
- Evade a user’s block
- Share private trip information without permission
- Delete or alter another collaborator’s work maliciously
- Use collaboration tools to track or control someone
- Send harmful files or deceptive links
- Pretend to be Travelism support
- Pressure users to provide sensitive information
Travelism does not routinely publish private conversations. However, reported messages or collaboration content may be reviewed when necessary for moderation, safety, support, or legal compliance.
17. Reporting Violations
Use Travelism’s in-app reporting tools when you believe a profile, post, comment, message, business, trip, or other content violates these Guidelines.
Reports should be made honestly and include relevant information where available.
You must not:
- Submit knowingly false reports
- Use reporting tools to harass someone
- Coordinate mass reports against users who have not violated the rules
- Misrepresent evidence
- Threaten users with false reports
- Submit repeated duplicate reports to manipulate review
Reporting content does not guarantee that it will be removed. Travelism will assess available context, evidence, applicable rules, and legal obligations.
18. Blocking and User Safety Controls
Travelism may provide tools to block profiles, restrict interactions, hide content, or manage communication.
When you block a profile, certain communication and visibility features may be limited. Blocking may not remove content that was already copied, shared, or visible through other lawful contexts.
Do not create another account to evade a block or continue unwanted contact.
19. Moderation and Enforcement
Travelism may use automated systems, human review, or both to identify and assess potential violations.
Depending on the nature, severity, frequency, context, and risk of a violation, Travelism may:
- Remove content
- Reduce content visibility
- Disable comments or interactions
- Issue a warning
- Restrict certain features
- Remove verification
- Temporarily suspend an account
- Permanently terminate an account
- Prevent account recreation
- Preserve relevant evidence
- Notify affected users
- Report activity to authorities where required or appropriate
Travelism may take immediate action without prior warning when necessary to address serious safety, fraud, security, or legal risks.
Not every report will result in enforcement. Context, intent, public interest, newsworthiness, severity, and available evidence may be considered.
20. Account and Content Appeals
Where an appeal or review option is available, you may request reconsideration of certain moderation decisions.
An appeal should:
- Identify the affected account or content
- Explain why you believe the decision was incorrect
- Provide relevant supporting information
- Be submitted honestly and respectfully
Travelism may decline repetitive, abusive, fraudulent, or previously resolved appeals.
Submitting an appeal does not guarantee that a decision will be reversed.
21. Emergency Situations
Travelism is not an emergency service.
Do not rely on posts, chats, profiles, or reports to request urgent emergency assistance.
In an immediate emergency, contact the relevant local emergency service or authority.
Travelism may preserve or disclose information when reasonably necessary to respond to a credible threat, protect a person from serious harm, or comply with applicable law.
22. Changes to These Guidelines
Travelism may update these Community Guidelines when:
- Features change
- New risks emerge
- Laws or platform requirements change
- Moderation practices improve
- New Travelism services are introduced
The updated Guidelines will display a revised effective date, last-updated date, and version number.
Material changes may be communicated through the app, website, email, or another reasonable method.
